One platform to run a modern medical practice
Designing and building the Social Patient Center for Crystal Clear Digital Marketing, a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based tool for elective medical practices.

The short version
Medical professionals are overwhelmed by the number of tools they need for marketing, scheduling, patient communication, and lead tracking, all while delivering care.
The Social Patient Center (SPC) brings those tools together in one HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based platform built for elective medical practices.
Too many tools, not enough time
Practices were juggling disconnected tools, which slowed operations and frustrated busy staff. They needed a single place to manage everything, without giving up HIPAA compliance.
Before
Multiple disconnected tools for:
- Marketing
- Communication
- Patient management
After
One HIPAA-compliant platform for:
- Appointments
- Leads
- Communications
- Billing
Four design decisions
Consolidated workflows
The platform mirrors familiar calendar and messaging apps, which shortens the learning curve for busy staff.
Persona-driven design
I built personas from real users, practice staff and physicians, to set priorities and simplify navigation.
Feature prioritization
I balanced robust functionality with clean design by focusing on what staff and doctors needed most: communication, scheduling, and reporting.
Visual consistency
A custom UI kit with clean, modern branding and easy-to-understand icons keeps the product ready to scale.
What I did
With a team of three, I handled the design and the front end:
- Designed the complete experience for practitioners and staff
- Created wireframes and high-fidelity mockups
- Defined a clean, modern visual brand, including iconography and UI components
- Developed personas and ran a competitive analysis
- Built interactive HTML prototypes for backend development
What happened next
Key features I designed:
- Dashboard
- SMS and email messaging
- Appointment scheduling with reminders
- Quoting and billing module
- Doctor dashboards
The impact:
- ↑Lead and patient follow-through
- ↑Appointments
- ↓Time staff spent manually calling individual patients
